One of the career fields that require individual creativity is the field

fashion design . Ever-changing world of fashion field abreast of time. Today we can see various kinds of fashion designed and created . This field is not actually teaching monopoly areas of women , but can be pursued by men as well. Many well known fashion designer and successful man , in the world of fashion designing either currently in Malaysia but also internationally.Skills in creating a fashion tailored to the type of fabric selection and matching the right colors will definitely look attractive when worn by the wearer.For example , kebaya loose silk fabrics with ethnic motives ,scarf matched with appropriate color , of course the appearance of the wearer

so graceful once . In this case , a designer should have the skills and ability to choose the color in making fashion designs to suit to wear with time and environment . If wrongly chosen will reveal irregularities to the wearer .

Fashion designers need to know about all types of garments , fabrics and fashion whether for men, women or children who have a variety of tastes and interests. Faesyen a good designer can certainly meet the following criteria as above. Actually , the job of a fashion designer is to produce ideas and sketches he created a fashion . Additionally, for creative ideas and interesting , of course, their job requires a long time to produce a fashion statement.

Recognizing the importance of this field , the field of fashion design is offered in public higher education institutions and private colleges . During the study will provide students with knowledge and knowledge of fashion design . Students will attend courses like fashion design , pattern drafting , dress making , embroidery , painting , introductory textile technology , fashion and aesthetic illustrations . Students are also required to undergo practical training in clothing production industry and other related industries to expose and enhance students' understanding of the fashion world .

There are many job opportunities in the apparel manufacturing industry , such as marketing executives , sales , production manager and training manager . Even more successful as a fashion designer clothing store manager .

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS REQUIRED

( i ) Have a passion for fashion

( ii ) Interested abreast of the rapidly changing world of fashion

( iii ) Possess creative , imaginative and artistic as this field requires

        creative individuals

( iv ) Able to work alone or in teams

( v ) Working on a set schedule

( vi ) Having drawing skills

( vii ) Have knowledge of mathematics

CONDITIONS IN THIS FIELD

To become a fashion designer , the individual must follow a formal course

at the certificate, diploma or degree in higher education institutions and private colleges alike

whether within or outside the country .

OF FURTHER STUDIES

You can pursue a formal education in Universiti Teknologi Mara ( UiTM ) in the bachelor's degree level . Period of study at the undergraduate level is four years. Many private colleges offer certificate and diploma from primary . While to get your certificate can pursue studies at Certificate of Education

Vocational ( SPMV ) household economic specialization .

REQUIREMENTS FOR FURTHER STUDIES

To pursue their young saijana at UiTM , candidates must pass

SPM / SPMV with credits in the subject of painting ( art education )

and four credits in other subjects . In addition, you must pass the Malay language

and English. Candidates also must pass the interview / drawing test run

by UiTM .

While at the certificate and diploma in private colleges , students must

SPM / SPMV with credits in several subjects including

English and painting .
